We’ve actually been having some pretty nice weather recently so I wanted something that was light, summery and easy to wear. When I walked into ONLY, this dress caught my eye immediately; I don’t think I need explain why! I know people can be afraid of wearing yellow, but honestly, I just think at this time of year it is such a gorgeous tone against tanned skin. As I’ve said before on my blog, if wearing yellow doesn’t instantly make you feel happier I don’t know what will!
I think this dress is such a wearable way to wear the colour; it’s easy to tone down with accessories and could bring you from day to night. Cinching in the waist with this cute plaited belt will ensure that the dress doesn’t swamp you and will define your waist.
The back of this dress also has a criss-cross detail, which I love.
I’ve styled this little yellow number with this gorgeous long sleeveless piece, which as we know, are huge this summer. I can see this sleeveless blazer looking just as good over white jeans for a monochromatic look. I’ve never worn a jacket or blazer this length before but I actually think it elongates the body as the eye is drawn from your shoulders right down to your ankles; and at a mere 5ft. 2” I’ll take that any day, thank you!
This black necklace is such a great piece to have in your wardrobe, its versatile and would equally look stunning with a crisp white shirt.

I can’t get over the affordability of this outfit. As the pieces are versatile they can be worn in so many different ways, so you get such good value for money.
