Young Food Producers Market – Savour Kilkenny
The Young Food Producers Market returns to the Savour Kilkenny Food Festival 2025 on Saturday, October 25th, from 1pm–4pm. This exciting showcase gives fresh-thinking young entrepreneurs the chance to present and sell their homemade produce in a lively market setting at the very heart of Kilkenny.
Run as part of the Student Enterprise Programme and supported by Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Kilkenny, the Young Food Producers Market is designed to spark creativity, inspire entrepreneurship, and provide invaluable hands-on business experience. Participants will not only connect with real customers in a bustling shopping centre environment but will also gain vital skills in product development, marketing, and customer engagement.
To uphold best practice in food safety, all participating students will complete a Certificate in Food Hygiene Level 1 before trading begins. This valuable qualification ensures they start their journey into food production and entrepreneurship with confidence, professionalism, and a strong foundation in safe food handling.
