Emergency Services Kids Event at MacDonagh Junction

Join us for an exciting and educational Emergency Services Event designed especially for children, taking place on 22nd August 2026 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre.

This fun-filled afternoon gives kids the chance to meet and interact with real-life emergency responders in a safe and welcoming environment. The goal of the event is to help children become familiar with the people who help keep us safe, so they know exactly who to turn to in an emergency.

On the day, families will meet members of the Gardaí, Fire Service, First Responders, and Civil Defence, along with a special mystery guest!

There will be plenty of excitement for younger visitors, including free face painting from 1pm, interactive displays, and lots of fun goodies and giveaways throughout the event.

This is a fantastic opportunity for children to learn, explore, and engage with the heroes of our community in an energetic, family-friendly setting.
