Savour Kilkenny is one of Ireland’s favourite food festivals, It is held in the stunning setting of Kilkenny’s Medieval city, in the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East. The festival is known for its diversity and quality of food producers, distilleries, breweries, restaurants and cafés. It will be taking place over the October bank holiday weekend, the event celebrates the produce, food and culture of Kilkenny and the surrounding rich pasturelands.
In MacDonagh Junction we will host a Young Producers Market on Saturday October 28th, this market allows secondary school students to show off there baking expertise and to demonstrate their culinary skills while also learning about the responsibilities involved in making and serving food they love. It is a very successful event with students getting involved from Kilkenny and surrounding counties.
