Last Saturday I attended Tipperary Racecourse’s Ladies Day . Tipperary Races holds special memories for me as it would have been the first racecourse I visited as a child so it was lovely to be invited back to help judge the Best Dressed Lady competition. I assisted celebrity judge Anna Geary with the difficult task of picking a winner and it was by no means an easy decision. Anna had mentioned that she was looking for a ‘good use of colour’, ‘creative style’ and for the ladies to be ‘comfortable’. I couldn’t have agreed more, I think in summer colour should be embraced and to enjoy a day at the races you need to be comfortable.
Ladies Days in Ireland have really upped their game in the prize department. The more of these I attend the bigger surprise I get each time. I judged at Gowran Park Racecourse not so long ago, where the winning prize was a €1,000 voucher for MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre and a 2 night stay at the Lyrath Estate Hotel with the works included! These are events to keep an eye on. For some Ladies Day tips see my blog post here.
My outfit and accessories were both from Carraig Donn and are all currently in stock at their MacDonagh Junction store. I wore this red Guipure lace dress from one of their own brands Rowen Avenue. It was extremely easy to wear and it is a dynamic piece that would work well in anyone’s wardrobe. Accessories wise I opted for a rose gold pearl bracelet, rose gold pearl earrings and a rose gold ring. These were all from the Knight & Day range which provides plenty of variety and is affordable.
Going forward I’m looking forward to working with MacDonagh Junction and taking you all along on the journey with me. Stay tuned for more.
