A busy couple of weeks…

Hi guys,

So I wanted to update you all on the latest few events I’ve recently attended. I’ve been kept busy but I’m loving every minute of it. It’s all very exciting and I’ve learned a few new things about myself too!

Soon after being crowned Miss Kilkenny 2016, I was invited to many events which  I was delighted to have been made a part of. My first appearance was at a fashion show in MacDonagh Junction. It was the Polska Éire fashion show which took place as part of the first nationwide Irish-Polish Festival. It’s a festival which sees Irish and Polish communities coming together and sharing one another’s friendship and culture,to learn from each other and of course have the ‘craic’! Over 100 events from sport to literature, family entertainment and music occurred all around Ireland! MacDonagh Junction were great supporters of the festival and not only hosted the fashion show but also played host to an arts and cultural exhibition.  On arrival, I was introduced to all the people taking part in the show, many of whom were from the Polish community, and were all so lovely and friendly! I got to model 4 different outfits from the stores in the centre along with some accessories too. Getting to know each other backstage and enjoying each others’ sense of humour made it even more enjoyable and also made me feel very welcome. A great crowd attended the show including the Mayor of Kilkenny and the Polish Ambassador. As it was my first time official representing Kilkenny and Miss Ireland at an event it gave me a great taste for things to come over the next few months and I can’t wait to get involved in whatever comes my way!IMG_1121

After the Polska Éire fashion show, I went to Ladies Day at the Gowran Races. I received an invite plus 4 free tickets to go so I brought my friends along with me. We had a lovely day out and the weather was fabulous. I had never been to the races before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

MacDonagh Junction  sponsored the event and I got to present the award for ‘Best Dressed’ to Trish Butler, winner of the Best Dressed Lady competition. We had some press photographs taken together with the top 5 best dressed ladies and representatives from the Lyrath Hotel and MacDonagh Junction. I’m not a one for betting so I can’t say I even placed any bets in between all of this, I was just happy enough to be involved and to soak up the atmosphere! ☺️

So for now, that’s all from me today. Thank you all for your continued support, it’s certainly not gone unnoticed and I will be sure to keep you guys filled in on my journey along the way. I look forward to telling you all about my next few upcoming events. Keep an eye out for my next blog post very soon where I will be talking about my time at :
